Vintage pair of novelty anthropomorphic eggplant pixie/elf ceramic salt and pepper shakers. Made in Japan during the 1950s mid-century era. Height: Approx. 2.5" tall ​Markings: Stamped "JAPAN" in red on the bottom of both pieces. ​Condition: ​Overall good vintage condition with vibrant original glaze and hand-painted details. ​Mild, expected wear/rubbing to the gold accents and glaze edges consistent with age. ​One shaker retains its original cork stopper; the other shaker is missing its stopper. ​Please examine all photos closely for full cosmetic details.
