Vintage Japanese Imari Ware porcelain covered trinket box featuring an elaborate traditional Japanese design in cobalt blue, iron red, yellow, green and gold. The domed lid depicts a Japanese architectural and garden scene surrounded by flowering branches, florals and richly patterned borders. The sides feature beautifully detailed birds, flowers, foliage and decorative cartouches, finished with gold-tone accents along the borders. The underside is marked IMARI WARE JAPAN with Japanese characters. A beautiful decorative piece suitable for jewelry, rings, keepsakes or display.
