Wonderful antique blown-glass figural Christmas ornament depicting a child or elf wearing a metallic emerald-green hat. Features a molded pink face with hand-painted eyes, brows and red lips, amber/gold molded hair, and white lower trim. The ornament is unmarked. Based on its thin blown-glass construction, molded form, hand-painted details, silvered finish and overall style, it is believed to be European and likely German in origin, though the exact maker and country are unconfirmed. Estimated date is circa 1920s–1930s. Shows age-appropriate paint loss, surface wear and finish deterioration. No obvious major cracks or large chips visible.
