An absolutely dramatic vintage emerald green rhinestone bib necklace with a full cascading waterfall fringe. Rows of richly saturated emerald-green faceted rhinestones sweep around the neckline and continue into numerous articulated graduated drops, creating incredible movement and sparkle. Every visible stone is individually prong set into gold-tone settings, including the long fringe. That construction, combined with the simple hook closure, articulated rhinestone chain and extravagant waterfall silhouette, is consistent with mid-century costume jewelry, most likely 1950s to early 1960s. Similar waterfall constructions are commonly dated to this period. The scale is what makes this one exceptional. This isn’t a small rhinestone collar with a few drops; the rhinestones essentially become the entire necklace, with well over 100 stones creating a true bib effect across the chest.
