Auction Description Vintage Johnson Brothers Pastorale Toile de Jouy tea cup saucer, made in England, circa 1959–1965. Decorated in pink/red transferware with a charming pastoral scene of a seated fisherman beneath a tree, surrounded by individual vignettes including birds, flowers, a bridge and windmill. The softly scalloped shape complements the French-inspired Toile de Jouy design. The underside bears the full period The Pastorale Toile de Jouy pattern was produced by Johnson Brothers from approximately 1959–1965 and was offered in several colorways. This is the tea cup saucer, approximately 5¾ inches in diameter.
