This natural mink fur brooch is collectible mainly because it’s in its original vintage promotional packaging. It was featured in the Mobil (petrol company) Catalogue of Awards back in the late 1950s or early 1960s, as an employee gift or, more likely, as a customer loyalty reward. The brooch itself is in excellent condition. Despite the fact that real fur is frowned upon as clothing and accessories these days, it does represent the fashion of the era where mink was considered to be the epitome of fur items. A real conversation piece! May also be of interest to petroliana collectors.
