Product Details

Beautiful antique brown transferware covered sugar bowl featuring an Aesthetic Movement/Japonisme design with an Asian-inspired figure, floral details, geometric borders, applied handles, three small feet, and fitted lid. Likely late 19th century, circa 1870s–1890s. Unmarked, as many period transferware pieces were. Wonderful age and character with overall crazing, transfer wear, and surface wear consistent with an antique piece. Please note visible wear to the lid finial as shown. A striking collector piece for a brown transferware, Victorian, Aesthetic Movement, or antique ironstone collection.
