Beyond survival is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to educate, support & empower all people impacted by sexual abuse through trauma informed, advocacy, support, and community base services. Survivors are supported, regardless of age, identity, background or circumstances. Statistics: Last year beyond survival conducted 127 new intakes, 96 of them were for the youth underneath the age of 18 in our county. They answered 340 crisis call after hours. Responded to 22 hospital calls. Of sexual abuse cases report to law-enforcement 93% of the victims knew the perpetrator. 59% were acquaintances, 34% were family members, and only 7% of the strangers knew the victim. Nearly every minute someone in the US is sexually assaulted. Nearly every nine minutes that someone is a child. Imagine how many voices would go left unheard and how many survivors we wouldn’t have without their services. Non-profits need our help, so they can continue to help others.
