A stunning early Chinese banknote from the Ningpo Commercial Bank, Ltd., dated 22nd January 1909, printed in Shanghai by the Tsi Cheng Printing Co. This is one of the most visually striking issues of the era a rich yellow-gold background bursting with fine floral rosette borders, framed by twin facing Chinese dragons flanking the bank’s crest at center. This example is a partially printed remainder meaning it was never formally issued (no serial number, signature, or date completion), preserving the note in exceptional, pristine paper quality straight from the printer.
