This Majolica Jardiniere showcases classic art nouveau style with a geometric and floral design in relief in an earthy natural color palette of green, yellow, and brown. There are chips along the top and bottom of jardiniere as well as crazing throughout as shown in photos. There are quite a few cracks similar to what have been shown in photos which go right through this piece. Staining inside indicates heavy use. Unmarked, this piece was produced by Weller pottery during the late Victorian to Art Nouveau period. It features a beaded accent rim, an embossed leaf pattern with vibrant blended drip glaze. Condition is poor however, if simply used for display, it would be a wonderful addition to any collection. We have therefore priced accordingly. A wonderful opportunity to purchase a beautiful American historical cachepot. Approximate measurements: inside opening diameter 7.5” x depth 6.5” x height 7”.
