Extraordinary c.1925–1935 Czechoslovakian statement necklace of exceptional scale and complexity. Three strands of intensely saturated faceted cobalt-blue Czech art glass support a massive articulated gilt-brass centerpiece incorporating a crowned female-profile medallion, ornate openwork stampings, rhinestone accents, figural elements and multiple articulated drops. The spectacular lower section features a winged Art Nouveau-style maiden, cobalt glass dangles and a large molded cobalt-glass terminal with elaborate scrollwork. Marked CZECHOSLOVAKIA. A remarkable example of Neiger-era Bohemian revival jewelry; possible Neiger influence/attribution remains unverified. Substantial collector piece with age-appropriate patina and wear.
