Lot of four original Central High School “Centralite” yearbooks from Knoxville, Tennessee, dated 1942, 1943, 1944 and 1945. A consecutive WWII-era run documenting students, faculty, athletics, clubs, wartime school life and period Knoxville businesses and advertising. Includes numerous handwritten signatures and inscriptions. The 1942 volume discusses Pearl Harbor, military service, war bonds and civilian defense. First three are softcover; 1945 is hardcover. Wonderful Knoxville, Tennessee, genealogy and WWII home-front memorabilia. All four volumes show varying cover wear, rubbing, edge/corner wear, toning, spotting, marks and handwritten names, signatures and inscriptions. The middle sections of both the 1942 and 1943 softcover volumes have become detached from the staples and are loose, though the pages remain with the books.
