Vintage Wedgwood Wellesley 6-inch plate, made in England. Classic cream/ivory body with Wellesley’s highly detailed embossed fruit, floral and foliage border, oval-link outer rim and beaded inner border. Marked on the underside “Wellesley / Wedgwood / Made in England” along with impressed Wedgwood factory markings. The glaze displays an extremely strong, uniform bright-green fluorescence under UV, beautifully highlighting the molded Wellesley decoration. UV reactive; uranium content not confirmed unless tested with a radiation detector. Shows normal vintage surface wear/crazing consistent with age; review photos for condition.
