Authentic Royal Delft / De Porceleyne Fles hand-painted Delft Blue wall charger dating to 1971. This striking Approx: 13" charger features a beautifully rendered pastoral landscape with a shepherdess tending a flock of sheep along a tree-lined country road. The scene is inscribed "Naar J. v.d. Sande Bakhuyzen," indicating the composition was painted after the work of Dutch landscape artist Van de Sande Bakhuyzen. The reverse bears the traditional De Porceleyne Fles bottle/JT/Delft factory mark, painter's initials H.V.L. for H. van der Linden, Royal Delft painter from 1955–2004, the CP year code for 1971, and internal number 1397. Rich cobalt-blue tonal work and extensive hand-painted detail make this a particularly attractive example of collectible Royal Delft decorative art. Stunning Vintage condition with age-related glaze crazing visible, particularly on the reverse, and minor expected signs of age & display use. Please review all photographs closely for condition.
