Beautiful vintage Lladró #4988 "Oriental Spring" (Japonesita Sombrilla) porcelain figurine featuring a graceful Japanese woman holding a parasol and fan. Designed by Salvador Debón, introduced in 1978 and retired in 1996. She wears a soft green kimono over a blue floral skirt with delicate pink flowers adorning her hair. The removable parasol features a porcelain canopy with gold-tone metal stem and beautifully completes the piece. Authentic Lladró, handmade in Spain, with blue Lladró backstamp and impressed 4988 on the underside. **CONDITION: Displays beautifully. There is a small area of loss/chipping to the delicate applied floral decoration in her hair, shown clearly in the close-up photograph. Please review photos carefully. No major structural damage or repair observed. Parasol, fan and fingers are present. Because Lladró's applied porcelain flowers are extremely delicate, this condition issue has been photographed and disclosed for complete transparency. The small floral loss is toward the side/back of the hair and is not particularly noticeable during normal display.
