Vintage Doranne of California pottery chef-shaped chip and dip serving platter, marked CALIF USA S8 on the reverse. This wonderfully kitschy mid-century serving piece features a whimsical chef holding a scroll embossed with an old-fashioned Onion Soup Dip recipe. The chef's face forms a recessed dip bowl while the larger scroll-shaped area is perfect for chips, crackers or vegetables. Finished in a rich glossy caramel/brown glaze with molded details throughout. Marked CALIF USA S8 on reverse. Condition: Very good vintage condition with no obvious chips or cracks visible in the photos. A fantastic piece of retro 1960s/1970s kitchenware—great for a vintage kitchen, cocktail party, game-day spread or kitschy barware collectin.
