Condition: VG vinyl with visible surface wear and audible crackle throughout, but no skips and an enjoyable overall listen. Jacket is VG with honest shelf wear and age-appropriate handling. A solid player copy. Only reason I am selling is that I was fortunate to get my hands on a higher graded copy. A soulful early Blue Note session featuring Lou Donaldson with Herman Foster, Ben Tucker, Dave Bailey, and conguero Alec Dorsey, whose percussion gives the grooves an irresistible pulse. Highlights include the title track, "Candy," "South of the Border," and "Twist Time." A bluesy, groove-filled original that captures Lou just before his classic soul-jazz run really took off.
