The Anchor Hocking Royal Ruby Flared Bulb Vase stands approximately 6.5 inches tall. It features a smooth, bulbous bottom base that gently curves inward before opening up into a prominent flared, wide rim. Anchor Hocking primarily producesd these between the 1940s and 1960s. GLOWS: To achieve the signature deep crimson color of Royal Ruby glass, vintage glassmakers combined elemental selenium with cadmium sulfide. When hit with ultraviolet light (like 365nm), the cadmium and selenium compounds fluoresce. This combination glows anywhere from a cloudy pale pink, peach, to a bright fiery orange-red. No damages.
