Matched pair of vintage anthropomorphic dog salt and pepper shakers *​Era: Circa late 1940s to 1950s (Mid-Century) Japanese import. *​Markings: Both figures are stamped on the base with "MADE IN JAPAN". Details: ​Features winking/playful facial expressions with sticking-out tongues and detailed whiskers. ​Classic split-ear design (one solid black ear, one orange/brown inner ear detail). ​Bright gold luster accents on all four paws/feet. ​Stenciled across the chest with "I'M SALT" and "I'M PEP." *​Measurements: Approx. 2 ¾ inches tall. *​Stoppers: Includes original cork stoppers on both pieces. ​Condition: ​Overall Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minimal light age-appropriate surface wear. ​Glaze & Paint: Cold-paint details and gold luster accents remain bright and intact. ​Structure: Free of major cracks or chips.
