Vintage 1971 first edition commemorative plate depicting the Place of Meditation at the Eisenhower Center in Abilene, Kansas. Made in Staffordshire, England by Alfred Meakin as Old English Staffordshire Ware and engraved by C.H. Whittingham. Designed exclusively for Harold T. Vancil of Abilene. The blue and white transferware plate measures approximately 8 inches across and features the Eisenhower burial chapel surrounded by a floral border. Reverse text notes the 1966 construction and burial of Dwight D. Eisenhower and his son Doud. A collectible piece of presidential, Kansas and Eisenhower memorabilia. No chips or cracks noted.
