Charming early vintage Christmas Nativity featuring a wonderfully rustic stable/crèche with textured bark/cork-style exterior, straw-covered roof and vintage cotton batting “snow.” Includes Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus resting in a tiny wooden manger, along with three beautifully painted Wise Men. Figures appear to be older painted composition/plaster-type material and have wonderful period coloring and character. Stable is constructed from wood/fiberboard and mixed natural/decorative materials. Wonderful primitive, old-fashioned Christmas display with exactly the aged appearance collectors love. Condition: Vintage condition with age-related wear throughout. Stable shows deterioration/loss to some of the applied surface material, scattered loose/missing straw, aged cotton batting, dust/soiling and general wear. Figures show expected paint wear/age.
