Beauty in ingenuity. I'm not exactly sure which region this necklace comes from, but a lot of African and Indonesia communities will create jewelry from dyed wooden beads, horns harvested from goats, water buffalo and other herd beasts and bones from the animals they consume to use in the making of jewelry so that all the parts of an animal and the natural materials they have available will be utilized to create art and adornment. This necklace appears to be made of wooden beads dyed purple with golden metal beads and then the black beads are polished and shaped horn. Even the clasp is hand carved from horn.
