Absolutely stunning and difficult-to-find vintage Miriam Haskell statement necklace, estimated to date circa 1975-1982, featuring substantial marbled green lampwork glass with the rich, swirling appearance of malachite. Signed Miriam Haskell both on the clasp and cartouche and finished with an especially unusual mechanical clasp that pushes down to release and pulls back into place to secure. This distinctive clasp, construction, materials, and styling are consistent with the listed time period. I have been unable to locate another example of this exact Haskell design, making this an especially intriguing piece for collectors. The dramatic green glass and unusual construction give it a presence unlike more commonly encountered Haskell bead necklaces. Vintage condition with age-appropriate wear.
