Whimsical miniature grasshopper/insect sculpture fashioned from a repurposed metal fork. The fork has been creatively bent and shaped to form the insect's body, legs and long antennae, then finished in dark green with hand-painted pink decorative details. The little face and patterned body give it wonderful folk-art character. Approximately 2 1/4" long and approximately 2" high to the tip of the antenna. Maker and exact age are unknown. No attribution is being made. Pre-owned condition with minor surface wear/irregularities consistent with a handmade or hand-decorated piece.
