This geode hasn’t been polished — it’s natural exterior protects the crystals within. This geode was wet when photographed to capture all of it’s beauty. Tranca geodes are beautifully crystal‐lined geological specimens from Chihuahua, Mexico, known for their drusy quartz interiors, sometimes striking crystal forms. They are appreciated for their aesthetics, collectibility and variety. These geodes form in volcanic or sedimentary environments where cavities (such as gas bubbles or voids) in rock allow mineral‐rich fluids to enter and deposit silica, carbonates and other minerals over time.
