Chambersticks were historically designed with a wide, saucer-like base to catch dripping wax and a convenient handle so they could be safely carried from room to room or up to bed at night It features a distinct hexagonal (6-sided) pan base with slightly upturned rims to contain wax. The piece exhibits a heavy, dark, unpolished vintage patina. Notable areas of bright green verdigris oxidation are visible near the rivets where the handle meets the tray base. As is
