Spectacular c.1930s sterling silver brooch centered with a dramatic domed Czech/Bohemian art-glass cabochon. Electric cobalt blue comes alive with flashes of turquoise and green alongside scattered metallic-gold foil, creating extraordinary depth and movement in changing light. The cabochon is surrounded by a bold openwork scalloped sterling frame. Period hinge supports the Art Deco-era dating. Marked STERLING. Likely made using imported Czechoslovak/Bohemian art glass, prized during this period for its spectacular colors and experimental effects. Beautiful original patina and age-related wear. An especially striking early art-glass piece.
