Whitening is common on the majority of vintage cards but I also inform all my buyers to please refrain from bidding if you are uncertain of the condition, you may also ask in chat! If a card is in mint condition or near mint condition, I not only say it out loud, I also point it out as this is a rare occurrence. No seller can accomplish having 100% near mint inventory when it comes to vintage. It is a common predicament when auctions are going quickly for people to mistake the condition.
