Not only is that absolutely incorrect it’s protected by whatnot because if whatnot did not allow alternate entry method. Whatnot becomes an illegal gambling site.
Whatnot must allow form filling—specifically the AMOE (Alternative Method of Entry)—to comply with sweepstakes and gambling laws. Under federal and state laws, it is illegal to require a purchase to enter a giveaway. Requiring a purchase would classify the drawing as illegal gambling. Super fun and cheap breaks to get into!
