But she kept pushing us to bid up the purse and she would throw in another item if we bid it up higher like she had done on previously runs. She started the bid low on the purse because it had some call outs & significant damage. The shoulder strap was unsewn from one side and was not attached to the bag making it useable. Making it a “project bag”. She suggested someone could just fix it with a Glue Gun! On a Dooney bag?! She kept saying come on it’s too low, this is a Dooney, bid up and I’ll throw in something, maybe even the other Dooney,
I need to make room for new stock that came in. So we start bidding up thinking ok let’s do this. It’s going up past what a bag that size with that much damage should go for and she isn’t adding anything. We realize she isn’t doing what she said she would & everyone stops bidding and I’ve overpaid. The purse is ok. But not the unreal sales tactics beautiful bag but smaller than expected.
