I arrived expecting to maybe pick up a couple of cards… and instead this man essentially backed a dump truck full of cardboard treasure into my life for the financial equivalent of finding £2.30 in your winter coat pocket.
The generosity was honestly moving. At one point I was checking the prices twice because I was convinced either:
a) he’d made a terrible mistake
or
b) I was participating in some kind of Make-A-Wish programme for grown men addicted to shiny rectangles.
