The packaging alone showed the level of care—one ring was tossed into a plain envelope with no box, padding, or protection, and it arrived in terrible condition. Other items had undisclosed damage or excessive wear. When I reached out, there was no accountability, only excuses. Don’t assume Whatnot Buyer Protection will automatically have your back either. Based on my experience, my documented concerns weren’t resolved. If you decide to buy, record your entire unboxing, test every gemstone and metal, verify the weights yourself, and inspect everything immediately. I won’t be purchasing from this seller again. Buyers beware she is not trustworthy. At least two thirds of the items she said were silver were costume. Don’t believe her. The ring is not made of sterling silver as the seller assured, it is made of copper with a nickel coating Buyer beware! I purchased several rings from this buyer and tested all her items. Unfortunately nothing tested postive. Seller stated my ring was real genuine Ruby and it wasn’t. It was lab created. Also another ring was stated to have real diamonds and nothing tested positive with my diamond tester. I reached out to the seller and she was very dismissive and blocked me. Unfortunately, the ring I received wasn’t as described. It was advertised as a ruby with diamonds in .925 sterling silver, but it wasn’t stamped .925, and the stones did not test as diamonds. When I reached out, the seller was dismissive and insisted the item was exactly as listed, so I escalated the claim to Whatnot, who approved my return and refunded my order.
I also received a second order I had placed before discovering the issues with the first. One ring arrived dirty, and another was only stamped “China.” After two orders with these issues, I encourage buyers to carefully inspect and verify their jewelry upon arrival. I appreciate Whatnot for making it right.I explained to you that you received everything plus more that you bid on. You trying to receive even more than you bid is a different problem. Not as advertised. was stated all sterling. Three pairs we not sterling and one pair that was marked sterling was a mixed matched pair. Not good business. Do not recommend. Buyer beware. I usually support new sellers, and that’s why I bought from this one despite having 0 reviews. Unfortunately, this will be the last time I do that. Items sold as diamonds turned out to be moissanite, while others didn’t even test as moissanite. Natural rubies were actually lab-created. A stone sold as 25 ct weighed only 15 ct. Rings advertised as 925 silver weren’t even stamped. I also received broken items, missing stones, and one ring so filthy and corroded it looked like it came straight from the trash—it made my stomach sick. When I reached out, I was told, “It was fine when I shipped it.” No accountability, no resolution. Verify every stone, metal, carat weight, and item condition yourself. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this seller. Buy at your own risk.⚠️Like I explained to you the item was exactly what you bid on. I am very sorry if you feel that way.
