Thank you This item was a marriage of a vintage bottom but a modern top. During the auction it was said the top and bottom had an M with an underline, which indicates a vintage Mosser, but the top had the modern marking instead. The markings were shown and described live under lighting, including close-ups of both the lid and base. Mosser markings can vary in clarity depending on production and lighting conditions. The piece was matched as acquired and sold transparently. I am always happy to answer specific questions about markings prior to purchase. LOVE my German shepherd.
