I usually have streams up in the background and bid when I heard "red, white and blue Dart," but then noticed it was actually just a base card. I stuck around for ~20 more auctions and I swear there wasn't an auction without a lie. Calling things like Topps Now and Series 1 paper inserts refractors. Hell, even calling non-Topps cards refractors when that just doesn't make sense. Calling something a refractor or a certain parallel is just an objective thing, and either the point is to purposely lie and mislead, or they do not know enough about sports cards. Saying a card last sold at $100 when it was ~$50 every sale, as another example. I guess the gameplan here is hoping that no one actually knows Whatnot's policy against seller behavior that is "misleading, deceptive, or unfair to buyers" so people will just eat it. Maybe he'll response saying I didn't DM him or something, but what, am I gonna be like, "What's with all the lying?" Purchased 3 cards. 1 card has line going down the entire card and a circular dent. Messaged seller who first responded then has stopped. Shipping took 4-5 to even ship. Amazing cards!! Excellent experience!! Card has a massive print line that was not shown on screen. Seller said himself the card should be graded.
