Then Gambitsdad's package showed up.
Cards looked great. Everything packed perfectly. Nothing weird.
Until I found a Polaroid at the bottom of the box.
It's Dennis.
Standing in front of the Eiffel Tower.
Today's newspaper in his mouth.
On the back someone wrote:
"THE OWL LIED."
I called Ernesto. He said he'd never heard of Dennis and then hung up.
Wrong saga, Ernesto. How do you even know Dennis?
Ten minutes later Fish & Wildlife called.
They found the gun.
There are hoofprints on it.
Those smug bastards owe me an apology.
Anyway, cards arrived fast and perfectly packed. Gambitsdad continues to be an absolute 5-star seller despite somehow being my only connection to an internationally wanted alpaca.

Dennis escaped.
I can't discuss everything that happened at the Waffle House because Tennessee Fish & Wildlife remains adamant that alpacas cannot operate firearms. And Lloyd the raccoon, my attorney, says another deposition would be “catastrophic.”
The farm is gone. The owl was a dead end. I'm no longer welcome in New Mexico, and INTERPOL has asked me to stop referring to what happened in Prague as “Joker-palooza.”
On the plus side, my package from Gambitsdad arrived.
Cards were secure. Packaging was excellent. Everything was exactly as described.
The man runs an incredible stream, ships with care, has an awesome community, and somehow keeps me coming back despite the increasingly severe geopolitical consequences.

I entered Gambitsdad’s stream at 8:47 PM intending to take a shot at glory.
This was my first mistake.
By 10:15 I was majority shareholder in a failing alpaca farm outside Albuquerque. By 10:43 the alpacas had unionized. Their demands were reasonable, but their representative, Dennis, was an absolute nightmare.
By 11:06 Gambitsdad was slinging givvies like his life depended on it. And, with Dennis around, it might have.
This stabilized the markets.
Unfortunately, nobody was watching Dennis.
Dennis seized the farm.
I fled FL under an assumed name with three Jokers and a handwritten note saying “THE OWL KNOWS.”
Two days later, at a Waffle House outside Chattanooga, a man wearing one croc sat across from me and slid a briefcase under the table.
“Gambit sent me.”
Inside?
Another Joker.
Then the waitress dropped the coffee pot.
Everyone froze.
Dennis had found me.
