I partnered with 2 local furniture stores to take their discontinued upholstery fabric samples. I match up these fabrics to give them new life! I create Reusable Shopping Bags, Make-Up Bags, Diaper Bags, Purses and Totes and Boxy Bags, etc. By adding a Zipper and Lining these fabrics once destined for the trash are repurposed and find new ways to be useful. I sell my work to buy the webbing needed for the handles. With the handles I create tote bags which I donate to my local shelters and food banks. This way the people staying in a shelter or walking/bike riding to get food can carry their items in a nice, sturdy bag.
