This piece is especially meaningful to me because cardinals hold a very special place in my heart. My mum loved cardinals and spent countless hours caring for them throughout the seasons, making sure they always had the right birdseed and a welcoming place to visit. After my mum passed away, I rarely saw cardinals anymore. Then one day, when I was missing her more than words can express, I asked for a sign that she was still with me. Out of nowhere, a beautiful red cardinal appeared. Since that day, cardinals have shown up in my life time and time again, always when I seem to need them most.
