I opened Whatnot to casually browse some Magic cards and somehow ended up fighting for my life in a bidding war over a piece of cardboard with a goblin on it.
The seller has absolutely ZERO respect for my financial situation. Every time I say “I’m done buying,” this man pulls out another card and suddenly I’m making decisions that would concern a licensed financial advisor.
Cards arrived in great condition, shipping was solid, and the deals were fantastic. Unfortunately, my bank account is now in the graveyard, and I’m pretty sure my credit score has summoning sickness.
Would recommend to anyone who enjoys Magic: The Gathering, gambling-adjacent behavior, and explaining to their family why a piece of cardboard costs $40.

I came in looking for one $1 Magic card and left 47 dollars poorer, 3 booster packs deep, and convinced that a cardboard goblin was going to change my life. The seller has the charisma of a legendary creature and the financial restraint of a Treasure token in a deck full of sacrifice outlets.
Shipping was fast, cards were great, and my wife is now asking why there’s a package from Whatnot every other day.
Would buy again? Absolutely.
Am I financially responsible? Absolutely not.
Do I have a problem? No, I have a Commander deck.
