Yes they were marked XL but measuring them armpit to armpit seam a 36 inch chest would struggle to get in them. I know you can't measure everything but please if can't see that these are not XL then perhaps you need new glasses. Theses are at least 12 inches short of XL. The bundle contained two T-shirts for £5, and both were clearly described during the live stream as Youth XL, age 18–20. This can also be confirmed on the video receipt.
