Darren Rizzi is an American football coach best known for his work on special teams in the NFL. He was born on July 21, 1970, and grew up with a strong interest in sports, especially football. Rizzi played college football at Rhode Island College, where he developed leadership skills that later shaped his coaching style. After college, he began coaching at the high school and college levels, gaining experience and respect for his attention to detail. In 2016, he joined the New Orleans Saints as their special teams coordinator. Under his leadership, the Saints’ special teams consistently ranked among the league’s best. In 2019, Rizzi was named interim head coach for the Saints, a role that showed the trust players and management had in him. He later became the special teams coordinator for the Miami Dolphins. Known for his energy, discipline, and ability to motivate players, Darren Rizzi has built a strong reputation as a hardworking and respected NFL coach.
