We’re the Maynards — a Veteran and Federal family raising two awesome kiddos on opposite ends of the spectrum.After two decades of federal service and countless moves, we’re preparing for hopefully one last relocation—the one that will let us build and grow something of our own—a life that finally brings stability and allows us to advocate for and support our kids so they can thrive and become the best versions of themselves—whatever that may look like.Right now, we’re a federal family working for no money (yep, really). We’re doing our best to keep things stable, stay consistent with therapy and growth, and build a future that’s truly ours.We’ve been here a while, but life has slowed down our start more times than we can count over the last six months—yet we’re still pressing on.
