The gospel is the good news that although we have all sinned and deserve God’s judgment (Romans 3:23), God demonstrated His love by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to live a perfect life, die on the cross for our sins, and rise again three days later. Salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Christ alone—not by our works (Ephesians 2:8–9). Whoever repents and believes in Jesus is forgiven, reconciled to God, and given eternal life. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).
