As a kid, I would beg my mom to take me to a local card shop called Home Run Hobbies, where I built what felt like a dream collection for an elementary schooler. Those childhood memories—ripping packs, chasing my favorite players, and trading with friends—instilled a lifelong passion for the hobby. Fast forward nearly 30 years, and I’ve re-entered the world of sports cards—not just as a collector, but as a father to three amazing kids. Seeing the same excitement in their eyes that I once had as a kid inspired me to create Strength and Honor Cards—a store built on nostalgia, family, the shared joy of collecting, and yes, of course, my favorite movie Gladiator.
