Reviews (313)Wonderful experience. I think I screwed up in what direction I went with the custom cologne since it smelled like a urinal but that was completely on me. The packaging and shipping speed was top notch even with them making a custom cologne for me. They were great with answering my questions about the process. I really enjoyed the show and the experience. I told John just a few things I liked and did not like. He created a fragrance that is amazing. If you’re looking for something woody, fresh, warm, and invigorating—something that leans “old Florida” and not the beach—request a bottle. It is unisex but maybe ever so slightly leaning masculine. Thank you for creating these for me ! It's Saturday & Evenstar's Echo are everything I pictured in my head and felt in my body. As for Whiteout - White florals are not my thing and I give up on trying to formulate anything my nose will enjoy on that front. They're okay if I pair them with other things but white floral scents alone are just totally not for me. 🥺 I tried. They might even be gorgeous. My nose just says "no." Two Bits, Vetiver Pêche, Crystal Currant - AMAZEBALLS. Truly. All sooooo good. You really are a master of the craft This unfortunately did not hit the spot. I wanted something like an Iris powdery sweet fragrance and I got something that smells like pickle juice. What a disappointment Matt made magic in a bottle!

It’s layers of clean, classy, most-expensive-barber in town; with deep sweet bacarat-like warmth. Comfortable masculinity. Vintage, but relevant. Fits in places and times that matter most. And apparently their heart and their soul smells pretty good. 😂 John created and brought to life a fragrance vision that I just imagined in my mind. His way of creating is very niche like. Whenever I receive his products, I know they are high-quality, but they do take time in my mind to get used to because they are so different than mass appealing things on the market. A one of one as intended!!! Granted, I’m creating my own fragrance with my own notes with his help, however the experience opens my mind to what’s possible and I’m so blessed I came upon this shop. He is really truly a master of his craft and is wildly passionate about what he does and I’m learning so much. I envision that the two fragrances he made for me I will grow with and adapt to because they are so mature compared to the childlike aromas I was purchasing for years. I’m originally from New Jersey and I can’t wait to come home and visit because I will definitely be visiting your studio! Excited to stay a student and continue to learn from you as I purchase more in the future It's a lot of fun to explore your own scent profile.
