Amethyst art glass vase, dating to approximately the 1930s–1950s. Standing 15 inches tall, this impressive vase features a sleek tapered form with a 4-inch opening and is approximately 7 inches wide. In normal light it appears jet black, but when held to bright light it reveals a rich deep amethyst color. The front is beautifully decorated with finely wheel-engraved flowers, leaves, and delicate butterflies, giving it a sophisticated Art Deco-era appearance. No chips or cracks. One light ½-inch surface scratch is present but does not detract from its overall display. A wonderful statement piece for collectors of Czech art glass and black amethyst glass.
