Beautiful large vintage ARTA fine china bowl, hand decorated in the traditional Japanese Imari style. The design features an elaborate phoenix and peacock motif surrounded by flowering branches, peonies, rock formations, geometric panels, and ornate red-and-gold borders. The decoration continues around both the inside and outside of the bowl, with rich shades of iron red, green, cobalt blue, cream, and gold. The base retains its original ARTA Fine China label, which identifies it as a hand-decorated Imari reproduction and notes that variations between pieces are expected. It is also clearly marked Made in Japan. Likely produced during the late 20th century, approximately the 1970s–1990s. The substantial size makes this an especially impressive Japanese decorative porcelain piece. Size: Approximately 12” wide x 5½” tall Condition: Good vintage condition.
