Vintage 1973 booklet titled “An Outline of German History,” published by the Press and Information Office of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bonn. This illustrated softcover booklet measures approximately 7" x 4.5" and contains 45 numbered pages presenting a concise overview of German history from early Germanic tribes and the Roman era through the Holy Roman Empire, Reformation, Enlightenment, and the modern Federal Republic of Germany. The booklet includes historical photographs, timelines, and fold-out color maps illustrating political development in Central Europe. Produced during the Cold War as an informational publication explaining German history and culture, these booklets were commonly distributed through embassies, cultural institutions, and educational programs. A collectible piece of Cold War era historical ephemera. The cover shows edge wear, light creasing, and minor surface marks. Interior pages remain clean and readable with light toning from age & some staining on the back pages. There is a small handwritten name visible near the top margin of one page.
