Product Details

A beautiful Civil War intact two piece Confederate Staff Officers coat button made by Casimir Rouyer, of New Orleans, Louisiana. These buttons were likely worn by Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama officers. This one is in fantastic condition except for a small dent and tiny crack in the face at about the 5-6 o'clock position. The shank (loop) is bent over on the reverse, but is intact. This button was no doubt witness to some serious fighting during the war. It has a nice smooth brown patina! The plastic display case shown is also included. 22mm diameter.
