A fantastic condition non-excavated World War Two American 🇺🇸 M1 helmet. This fantastic piece was struck on the upper right side by a rifle round, creating a serious dent and no doubt injuring the wearer. The strike created a series of vertical stress cracks on the backside, as shown. No liner remains. You can clearly see where an US captains insignia was affixed to the front, but the insignia itself is missing.
