Product Details

Reframed cabinet card or a small mounted studio portrait of a young man, likely from roughly 1895–1915. The photo is mounted on dark card stock with an embossed border an a blind-stamped studio logo in the lower-right corner. The sitter’s is dressed in a dark sack-coat suit with a high stiff collar and a small bow tie / ribbon tie. The hairstyle (full on top, parted) fits the turn-of-the-century. Small portrait size, sepia/silver-print look with the characteristic fading and surface spotting (foxing) of an albumen or early gelatin silver print. Our dapper fella is unnamed. The frame is vintage with glass and kickstand. Roughly 5x7”.
